Artists of the Month - Lois Bednar and Marlys Brown
During
March, two artists will be displaying their works of art.
Lois
says "The location is not important...Fargo, ND, Bemidji,
MN, New York City...it's the viewpoint that matters.
Whether we live in a large city, or a small rural town, each
of us passes by a historic structure, a landmark, or a
common meeting place within our communities each day. My
abstract photography unleashes a new perspective on those
commonly viewed sights - discover an angle you have never
seen before!
I draw
on the black and white uniqueness to emphasize the designs,
textures, and contrast that go unnoticed in the everyday
color world. Come, take a look at my work and catch a
glimpse of a familiar sight in a new way!"
Marlys
says "Marlys Brown is a North Dakota native who has traveled
extensively, photographing the people and places she has
visited. Her work celebrates the exquisite diversity and
beauty of Ethiopia. Her inspiration is drawn from the
strength of the people, sharing their lives through the
camera's lens. Enjoy her photographs and celebrate the
essence of Ethiopia."
On
Wednesday, March 10th between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM visit with
the artists during an artists' reception.
